Home Soil Solutions is a small business that began from a desire to help home gardeners to grow nutritious, delicious, chemical-free food, reliably and productively, regardless of their soil type. We aim to restore overall balance to your garden ecosystem through soil mineral and biological balancing.
For gardeners who have a comprehensive mineral analysis done on their soil, we prescribe a personalised blend of minerals to bring their soil back into balance. The gardener can then make that up for themselves, or alternatively, purchase their blend from Home Soil Solutions
We have an association with Nutri-Tech Solutions®, an Australian business based in Yandina, South East Queensland. Nutri-Tech Solutions®, are world leaders in biological agriculture, servicing large commercial customers/ farmers. Home Soil Solutions works alongside them as their home garden specialist. This association allows us to access the latest technology used by commercial organic growers and to make this available to home gardeners in a way that is easy and affordable.
THE TEAM
Home Soil Solutions is a team of talented, skilled individuals working together to help you make the most out of your garden. Our team consists of employees and specialist sub-contractors, all of whom are an integral part of making the Home Soil Solutions process possible.
TIM
Tim leads the Home Soil Solutions team, encouraging self-development and constant learning from everyone involved. Tim’s passion for a natural thriving garden was developed while growing up in far north Queensland amongst the ancient rainforests. The feeling of a true connection and energy from the surrounding nature gave him the desire to reap the benefits of a natural home garden.
Tim’s first lessons in growing food came through failure. His mother inspired and encouraged him to pursue the organic path, however a thriving home garden seemed out of reach. The principles of basic soil nutrition and maintenance hadn’t yet been learned. Through failure and disappointment, they stumbled across vermiculture and the amazing power of the biology derived from worms and natural inputs such as kelp and fish. It was slow learning, but Tim was self-motivated and wanted to learn as much as he could. He came across Nutri-Tech Solutions® and their teachings and spent 6 months building and working alongside Graeme and Moira at Nutrition Farms®. After 6 months away from the city and immersing himself in the nutrition farming world, he saw clarity and wanted to help others on the path to a healthy garden. He didn’t really know where to start, but after meeting Leanne at a garden show, he joined the Home Soil Solutions Family.
After a couple of years this has led to Tim and his partner Bec taking over the business, allowing Leanne a peaceful semi-retirement. Leanne is still a huge part of the Home Soil Solutions Family, doing what she loves most which is teaching, product development and passing on her knowledge through consultation.
THE HISTORY – LEANNE
Home Soil Solutions started with Leanne. A little bit of history – in 1997 Leanne became ill, which put an end to a professional career in aviation, which she loved. But as one door closed, another opened, and her search for a cure led her to nutritional medicine, plant nutrient density and inevitably to soil fertility, a subject about which she is passionate. Consequently, Leanne has grown food in her own garden organically for many years. The “green” chapters of her life include rainforest revegetation, permaculture and ecological agriculture/biological farming, leading her to start Home Soil Solutions.
